The brief for this project was to redesign the retail bags and some other form of packaging for a store of our choice. We were restricted to using watercolor as an analog method for creating textures and other effects. Additionally, a custom dieline was required of us to construct our own bags.
Wonder Fair, based in Lawrence,KS, is equal parts stationery, gallery, art supply, knick-knack, and print store. The store has an atmosphere of whimsical and quirky DIY-energy that delights customers young and old.
In order to capture Wonder Fair's energy, I used hand-drawn illustrations and lettering as well as rainbow watercolor on the bag and pencil case I designed.
